Is this an election?
No. Well, it depends how you look at it.
The administration partnered with Lindauer, a recruitment firm, to find qualified candidates for the Vice President position. The applicants are evaluated on a rolling basis and the position remains open until the search committee, administration, board of directors and trustees decide on the optimal candidate.
SO WHY AM I RUNNING A CAMPAIGN FOR AN INTERNALLY DECIDED MATTER?
Because I strongly believe the students, alumni and community should have a say in this decision. Whoever is given the privilege to serve as Vice President will have an everlasting impact on the University. Whether or not I am selected for this important position is unknown but I know my campaign will serve a much larger purpose - to create an environment where the entire community is included on major decisions.
My campaign will empower the voice of the community.
My Candidacy
On August 17th, I submitted my cover letter and resume for the Vice President position at Yeshiva University.
I will post all updates on my candidacy on my website.
